Ron Wurzer is a Seattle-based photographer specializing in editorial, portrait, and corporate photography.
His work has been recognized by numerous national and regional organizations including The Society of Professional Journalists, The Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, The National Press Photographers Association, The Society of American Travel Writers Foundation, The Eddie Adams Workshop, the California Press Photographers Association and the Associated Press
Previously he was a staff photographer at The Seattle Times.
He was also part of a team of Seattle Times photographers that was nominated, and was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in 2000 for Breaking News photography with WTO riot photographs.
Over 20 of his photographs are featured in the book The New Intifada, a book published in 2001 that chronicles the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
He lives happily in a green house with his lovely wife, likes to barbecue and enjoys roadtrips. He was also once interviewed by female Iranian journalism students in the Khomeini Shrine in south Tehran (see picture).
